Overview

14U to 16U SDL creates a positive soccer environment for players to continue to develop their ball skills, enjoyment, and insight into the game. The focus of these programs is player development with healthy competition. Players will likely consist of a mixture of beginners along with players that have been exposed to soccer through their club, school, or friends. Principles of attacking and defending are incorporated into age appropriate soccer activities.

Players are placed in coed or girls teams that are led by a volunteer head coach who conducts practice with support from the Recreational Director. Team practice nights are determined by the volunteer head coach. Teams practice twice a week for an hour and play regularly scheduled 11 v 11 (including goalkeepers) soccer games typically on Saturdays but some games may be scheduled on Sunday afternoons. All of the rules of soccer are in effect for games.

Program Information Program Length: 8-10 week competitive program Division: Players placed in coed or girls division Roster Size: up to 18 Equipment:  Shin guards required Ball Size: 5 Coaches: Volunteer Head Coach Practice Sessions Per Week: 2* Practice Days: Determined by Head Coach Practice Time: Determined by Head Coach Practice Location: Alexander H.S. - 6500 Alexander Pkwy, Douglasville, GA 30135 Game Schedule: Weekend games as determined by schedule. Game Format: 11 v 11 (including GK) Game Duration: 1 game, consisting of 2 x 35 minute halves (U14), 2 x 40 minute halves (U16) Field Size: approx. 70 x 110 yards     *Practice and game schedules are subject to effects of the weather and cannot be guaranteed. In the event  of rain-outs, the club will look to ensure that a minimum of 8 game dates are played across the season. Make-up practices are subject to field and coach availability.

Fee Information Cost: $110 per player (Includes field maintenance, administration, referees, insurance) Uniform Cost: Approx. $55 - $58 (depending on size) + shipping (Includes 2 jerseys, 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of socks).  All players are required to purchase a uniform.  Click here for more info.
